Do not get a digital subscription. It appears you can only view in one orientation, portrait. It takes forever to download. Chokes and will not restart. I have had to delete the app and re-download to un-freeze it. It does not appear to recognize my email address, even thought I am logged in. This app needs serious, serious work to be up to par with other magazines.
Terrible app. Moved from an IPad to an IPad mini and ALL of my other digital magazine subscriptions could be restored but not Mens Journal. No help contact on the app. Just terrible.
The app is happy to take your money, but won’t let you sign in to download the magazine. Crappy App.
Horrible app, paid for 1 yr subscription then changed devices tried to restore subscription and wont restore keeps failing. Fix your app Mens Journal!!! No one answers emails to fix this issue, totally unsat, 1 star, total rip off
Dont buy! More than half the magazine is fuzzy, illegible text and photos. The customer service is terrible. I took the time to contact apple support through the Mens Journal app and was redirected to send an email about home delivery of the magazine. What a waste of money.
I really like this new mobile version. Usually magazines apps for iPhone are difficult to read or you lose feel for the actual magazine, but it doesnt happen with this one.
Nice to have an iPhone version and it seems to work well.
You can actually read the magazine! So tired of magazines that scrunch the whole magazine page to the iPhone screen. this app makes it easy to read on your iPhone.
The app is very buggy, it crashes often.
Just like my experience with Mens Journal, the app provides very little help with working with active account holders. The mag takes your money and provides no support.
Since downloading the latest version of the app, I cannot download the newest issue. All other issues download fine. This is really disappointing. I emailed Customer Support but still no solution.
The new app is closer to the actual print magazine (continuing articles on later pages, etc.) instead of having the information the way it was previously; like flipping pages in an article vertically and between articles horizontally. The print also seems to be much smaller and I have to magnify the text to read it without getting a headache. I love the magazine, and I dont want to continue print (for environmental reasons) so I will have to deal with it.
New version is basically a PDF. Old version was much better and was in a iPad friendly format. I will be cancelling my subscription unless it changes back. ☹️
I have had a subscription for almost a year now through the iTunes App Store, and after resetting my iPad in December I have been unable to download any issues at all. I have checked my subscription status, it is still active. I have tried a hard reboot of my iPad and deleting and then reinstalling the MJ app. I have signed out of and back into the iTunes Store and nothing seems to work. I have submitted several requests for help using the provided email in the app, and after four emails over two weeks I have gotten no response.Customer Support should be better than this. I cannot recommend this app.
Same problem as others. An active subscription but no actions in app will get it to recognize the account. Its worked intermittently. Other mags always work so I am confident its MJs bad coding. Change agencies rockets.
I have had an active subscription to MJ app for a few months now. With the last update, suddenly it is much harder to read the magazine. Type is tiny and difficult to read. Photos cannot be blown up for detail. Nothing is interactive. I was hoping that this update would be better, that the improvements would actually bring the app into the digital age. But apparently it is content to be analog. It seems Audience Media is content to do the minimum as far as updating is concerned. Im cancelling my subscription.

I enjoy how the IPhone version of this app is perfectly formatted to my screen. There is a small lag loading between pages. I assume they are giving the user the magazine at much "greater" resolution than needed. I could understand this lag delay if I was downloading it. But the delay between pages is on an already downloaded full magazine I have the readers digest magazine app and those pages load up instantly. If your getting this just for iPad I would say forget it. You have to pinch and double tap to get article on every page. Im glad on iPhone app all pages are formatted perfectly to my screen.
I have a subscription through Nov 2016 per Apple. I got one magazine download and the app is asking for a unique user/password that was never setup. I have searched for support to no avail and they dont reply to support emails. Love the mag but Thanks Mens Journal ya crooks!
